Community Grants 2025-2026

Background

The Community Grants Scheme (Scheme) is designed to encourage community partnerships and develop projects, facilities and activities that contribute to a vibrant Central Coast. 

The Grants support activities under four categories:

  • Capital Works
  • Sustainable Communities
  • Community Health and Well­being
  • Recreation and Open Space

All projects will need to demonstrate benefits to the wider community.  Organisations will only be eligible for funding every second year to ensure equity for all community groups.

Grant applications are subject to a maximum funding amount of $3,000. The applicant must provide 50% of the total project costs, either in funding or in kind.

Confirmation of Eligibility

Before proceeding, please confirm the following:

  • you have read and understood the program guidelines 
  • you are able to demonstrate clear community benefit to the residents of Central Coast municipality
  • you understand that the activity must not lead to a conflict with the Council's legislative obligations, including competitive neutrality, and must not expose the Council to any unreasonable financial, legal, reputational or other risks
  • your organisation is located in Central Coast and/or can demonstrate that events/activities/projects will have outcomes in Central Coast and be of benefit to the Central Coast municipality 
  • you consent to the release of project information in the application for promotional and evaluation purposes relevant to Central Coast Council
  • your organisation is able to demonstrate financial viability 
  • your organisation does not owe any reports or money to Central Coast Council as a result of previous funding or grants
  • your organisation has the appropriate type and level of insurance for the activities that are the subject of this grant
  • understands that a Parent/Guardian's signature is required for applications where the applicant is under 18 years of age
  • your organisation is not an individual, business, for-profit organisation, state or federal government (excluding educational and childcare organisations) or political organisation.
